Default Audio Stream Limit

Is there a limit to the number of audio output streams the BlackBerry can support? I know on a PC, without software mixing, you can only open like 32 DirectSound streams. If there is indeed such a limit, are programs limited by number of streams or can a single app open the maximum amount and prevent others from playing sound?

I guess no one knows. What would be a good way to test this myself?
