I'm a blackberry admin but my customer has been asking questions about application development. If anyone can help answer the following, it would be greatly appreciated.
Here are some questions I am struggling with.
Does RIM have an up-to-date SDK that supports Widget development for the Blackberry? I want to say yes since google maps and weather.com are widget based.
Does the SDK require a host IDE (such as NetBeans or Eclipse)?
Are all Blackberry models covered? I figure yes, except for the dinosaur devices running c++.
Does it have a GUI designer?
Do they have training for developers?
A very important question is how good is the Blackberry in securing apps developed for it by third party.
