Hi lete,

Actually, your query is not clear to me. If you do like to draw border outside your edit field, you can do by overriding its paint method.

Code:
public void paint(Graphics graphics) {  
    graphics.drawRect(0,0, getExtent().width, getExtent().height);
    super.paint(graphics);
}
