Default Problem connecting in 4.2 (same code works fine in 4.1)

Please Login to Remove!

Hey guys,

I have an application that works just fine on devices running 4.1. I am able to make http connections without a problem. Now, when a user using a new device that runs 4.2 tries to run an application, he gets a Java Exception - SecurityException. This happens with more then one user and in different carriers. Doing some research I found it to be related to permission to access the network. I went over all the security options with the user to make sure the application had the proper permissions but we are still having problems. The pop-up that asks the user if he wants to allow the application to make the connection does not even show up. Any ideas?

Thank you,
Guga

Default

is this your problem ?
Livelink - Redirection

The work around is to append the following line after

visit.displayPage("url");

visit.showBrowser();

Default Problem solved

Hi,

I finally put my hands on a device with version 4.2. The problem was that the HTTP in the connection string was upper case and it will not work if you are in version 4.2. Not sure why. In the emulator it works fine.

Thank you for all the help.
