Default ESS-simulator and proxy

Please Login to Remove!

I am behind a firewall. I had to configure the proxy server settings in order to get the MDS simulator running. I thought I could simply paste the same settings into the same named file in the ESS directory but unfortunately it doesn't seem to be that simple - it is unable to connect to the POP3 server I specify.

It has occurred to me that this may be because the proxy server only allows HTTP traffic (which I believe is common for proxy servers). Anyone else have any comments or ideas?

TIA,

Paul
