Post DFTP / JAVA - File System Modification

Hey,

I am currently looking into making some modifications to a blackberry pearl 8100. I saw that the ROXIO media manager uses raw commands of DFTP to access the directory tress of the blackberry.

Does anyone know of any programs out there that allow sending of hex data or RAW commands to USB?

I don't have the time to develop a C++ app dedicated to this, so I will only bother if a debug app exists.

I want to modify files located in the local tree of /home/ and /resource/. Is this even possible? Does RIM block access to these areas to prevent modifications via JAVA?

I was writing a JAVA program to do just that, accessing root paths to replace or delete data. My compiler is having trouble locating build programs so before I spend anymore time I want to know if anyone else has attempted this.

I have two methods theorized for root path and resource modification:

1) Send packet data using DFTP protocol to replace the requested file.
2) Use java code to create a similar function.

If someone can compile java source for me, let me know. I just want to try a simple delete prototype.

I am also working on similar features, you can use bushound to access USB raw commands, do you have any detail information of Roxio Media manager raw data commands?
