I'm developing a bb application. I want my users ask for a license key or password before installing the application. How can I make this happen.

you'll need to write your own licensing engine, most likely you'll use the device pin and create a hash using some bit shifting and possibly sha1 as well. don't just use sha1 though as it'd be easy for anyone to write a keygen.

Has anyone ever encountered a third party implementation of a license engine for BB? It should be fairly simple, but I would think there may be subtle "gotchas" that can happen if you've never written one before.
