I have ready many posts about this issue, but none have helped..

I am a web developer and I need to check some web pages in the BB browser.

I just downloaded the MDS simulator installed and have run it successfully.
I see the simulator running on Localhost:8080 from Internet explorer.

I launch the 7250.bat and the BB simular pops up and works.

When I attempt to connect to the web i get the "unable to connect to the selected mobile data service, please try again later."

The interesting thing is I can see the connection in a packet capture tool, i can see the HTTP request on the network and the server responds to the PC, but the Web page is never displayed on the Simulated BB.

There is no firewall, winXP. The web server is there and working because I can see it respond in the packet capture window. it just never shows up in the simulator...

Ideas?... thank you for your assistance.

Did you ever find the answer to this? I have exactly the same problem, I can get the later model simulators to work fine (eg Pearl and Curve) but when I try earlier ones like 7290 it connects to the MDS simulator but never finds the web page and I get the same message about mobile data service.
