I want to try to downgrade my Torch 9850 running 7.1 to the previous version. The FAQ link on top of the page appears to be dead,so I want to ask a couple questions. I found the version I want and have downloaded it, I have installed Desktop manager on the Windows partition, and it will recognize my BB when I hook it up. In some of the posts on the forum it mentions you need to wipe the device with JL Commander, but when I click on the links to the instructions it was dead too. The instructions with the version don't say it needs to be wiped, but since some of the other posts say it does, I'm not sure what or how to do it. Do I wipe the current version off? Do I use JL commander to wipe it?
Thanks!:?

I own two BB's - a 9810 and a 9900 touch - one business one personal.

I am retiring the 9810 and want to migrate all of the data on to the 9900. I have been using both phones for approx one year and don't want to replace the 9900 data with 9810 data I want to merge the two of them onto the 9900 and keep all records. Is this possible?

Thanks in advance :)

I have a jailbroken iPad2 that I have tethered to my bb 9810 many times using iBluever and PDANet without any problems. Recently however I can successfully tether the connection but cannot connect to any browsers, like Google Chrome or Safari. I tested the tether connection to my pc and it works fine and I can open all browsers. Has anyone else experienced this problem and were able to find a fix?
Thanks in advance.

I wonder if anyone experienced this problem before regarding ''JVM Error 517'' on their BB 9800.

It's actually my dad's device and I usually sorts things out for him. Well this time around, I simply couldn't get it working.
His device all of a sudden went dead, asking us to reset, with no luck whatsoever.

Now since seeing that his BB is deader than dead itself, how can we at least retrieve his contacts?
I did have BlackBerry Protect for him but I do not know how to go about restoring his contact list to the BlackBerry Desktop (if that is possible)?

Please guide me with this hassle...
