Ok, i have been searching the forums here, I have the missed call icon that is stuck. Have tried everything listed in several older threads. I have had my BB 2 years, so I am assuming that I do not have the latest OS. However, I am completely clueless to all this. How do I get rid of the missed call? Or how can i install whatever needs to be installed to get rid of it?? I am clueless! Thanks so much!

I have the 8330 and installed OS 5.0. Everything is pretty good. Not really laggy as some say so, overall I'm pretty satisfied but I have a few minor problems.

1. When I try to compose a text. I hit the letter for the persons name options then compose text, it goes to my email messages, and then when I go back to my sms messages, the new chat box isn't even there with that persons name?

So i have to go to sms messages, compose new, then have to find the name, and it just takes a lot longer time.

Any shortcuts for this?

And 2. This really isn't a problem but, like on the Tour, there is the normal Blackberry browser, but in runs in html like Bolt. Is there anyway I can get this for my 8330?
Since it runs html the page is a lot better, and the Blackberry browser is the only one I am able to watch videos on.

Thanks!

I'm upgrading from an 8900 to a 9700, but my new phone won't recieve an SMS message, although it sends OK.

I've tried a new SIM card to no avail but I HAVE discovered that it will send and recieve if I wipe the phone's applications (the stuff I've transferred from my old phone). I've tried just downloading the old phone's memory to my PC and then uploading to the new phone but that creates the same problem as when I use the Device Switch Wizard on Desktop Manager, ie, no SMSs received.

I'd be grateful any ideas, thanks.

I'm trying to activate a Blackberry on BES but it gives an error saying it can't complete it because of an existing IT policy. I know I can erase the whole thing to activate it but I have a bunch I need to do so I am trying to avoid doing this. Does anyone know what to do?

I have access to the old BES server so I can change the IT policy if necessary. I just don't know what to change. It is currently using the default IT policy with nothing special set.
Thanks!

I need a good phone headset to work with my new Tour (Verizon) and prefer earbuds. have used V-Moda products in the past and like their stuff. Does anyone know if their "Vibe Duo" is fully functional with the Tour? Actually, it would not be used for music, only phone calls. If anyone has experience with other brands that are good for this purpose (phone use), input would be appreciated on that too. Thank you.
what do we do?

My first blackberry was that cute little red bb curve that everyone love. Water was spilled on it, it got lost in a snow bank and it even fell into the toilet twice. As expected, in each case the phone stopped working. I got wise to the idea of opening it up and hang it by the base board heater over night and would you know it! it would come back to life and work again. The very last time it fell in the toilet it won’t work no more so I said that was it. I put it away in the desk draw and got myself an upgrade to the new bb bold 9700. After some problems with my first bold they sent me another. It has been about 1 1/2 yrs since the demise of my curve. All the while its been sitting in my desk draw. On an impulse recently, I decided to charged up the curve, took the sims card out of the bold and dropped it in. The darn thing got ressurrected again. It worked just as good as the first day I bought it. That curve is indistructable. :-o
