I called T-Mobile to get help setting up my bold so I could tether. She said I couldn't because it's a 3G phone, is this correct? I tried looking up my problem, but didn't see it in older threads.

battery problem

This just happened to me since 3 weeks ago. My battery usage drops like sane, I can only use the phone for 8 hours then the battery bar is red and the green light blinks. I thought the problem was with the battery, so I bought a new battery and then re-charge it over night and the same problem still occurs. What is happening? How can I fix this? How can I know if the problem is with the phone itself and not the battery?

How to clear Calls and SMS logs in Bold 9000?

Bedside Mode Question

When I have my normal battery in, I use the cradle to set my bold in and the unit goes to bedside mode (and is charging). The clock stays visible. All is well.

I use my extended battery sometimes and it won't fit the cradle and I don't want to charge it, so I set the bold on my nightstand and manually go to Bedside Mode. Problem is, after 30 seconds (how I have my backlight time out set), the screen goes dim. Now, if I wake in the middle of the night, I can't see the time.

How can I keep the clock showing in Bedside mode, when I'm not charging?

Double sms icon

Hi,

since a few days my blackberry bold gives a double icon in the screen when I get a text message.
Who knows what to do about it? I made an example of how my screen looks when I get a sms, only I have to have at least 10 post so I'll post it later on.

Hello first of all for the people attempting jmIrc on blackberry 9300.
If you keep getting tunnel somehting or disconnected goto Advance Config > Tick the box for "Use Socket Poll" - This fixed mine..

Also ive been searching around for free themes and stuff for the 9300
There is none that i can see anyone no why?

I really dislike the standard theme.

Music issues with 5.0.314

I can listen to music stored on my media card if I select the song from all songs list one at a time manually but if I select shuffle the song plays but I don't hear sound.

Anyone have this issue with .314?

Hello All,

I have a BB9000 T-Mobile from UK and is currently experiencing some problems.

One day, the phone crashed. Pulled the battery and put it back in. After the phone booted up, all the default ring tones are missing.

I reloaded the OS w/ the latest AT&T and still the same.

Any idea to restore the phone back to default w/ all tunes?

Hi guys I have two bold mine and my wife's..

I instaled the new 5.0.0.348 OS on my bold and it works flawless.. No problems at all.

I did the same thing on my wifes bold. Installed perfectly.. Phone was stable for a bit.

Before bed she took the phone to set an alarm. All of the sudden the screen went white. I pulled the battery, ever since then the phone will not turn on, and there is no blinking lights or anything.

After searching all over this forum and other forums.. I've discovered many people having the same problem.

Solution for some people was to take the battery out and leave it out for 8 hours or overnight.

I have taken the battery at 6am and put it back in now after 9 hours and still same thing the phone just wont respond to anything.

I changed the battery... Tried charing through usb and original wall charger just nothing.

Is her phone dead??

Windows 7 drivers

Hi

I am trying to get the 9000 to supply act as a bluetooth modem service for my netbook. The netbook runs Windows7, the 9000 runs on a XP PC with 5.0.1 Desktop Manager running. The 9000 is apparently missing some drivers to make it 'talk' to Windows7 but the Blackberry website doesnt allow for a POP acccount, ie non BES, to update the drivers. Can anyone help here please?

Redirector disappeared with 5.0.1???

I need some help here please. I upgraded to 5.0.1 yesterday and the previosly seperate Redirector service that pings the emails to and from the device, disappeared! No trace in my programs, no icon on the desktop - very strange.

I had assumed the Redirector was integrated into the new Desktop Manager, but no sign there either - what do I need to do?

Hi! My youtube doesn't seem to work anymore... It used to work maybe a week ago, but recently stopped working. I thought it may just come back, but it's been a while. So anyone on Rogers having the same problem? It'll saying Loading, then give me a "Cannot find web address. Verify that this web address is valid." message. Thanks!

Shortcut Keys

Does anyone know how to disable or change the shortcut key that skips songs on the music player. It's normal function is volume and i am always inadvertently hitting it while working out at the gym. Its frustrating because the key is so sensitive.

On a side note, does anyone know a good armband caddie for my Bold, I cannot find an "IPod Style" armband for it.

Number Mode

I am a new user of Blackberry Bold and i cant figure out the way to put the BBB on number mode without having to press the ALT key every time.
I was using a sonyericsson M600i before , it facilitated the process of going on the number mode in the messaging and email section.
Kindly help me with this issue.
