v 10.1.0.238 released for Blackberry Q10. I accepted the update today while I was at work (5 MB).

Anyone notice any improvements or bug fixes?

A 5MB "update" is not an O.S. update. It is too small. It is likely due to you deleting a carrier- loaded application. It simply replaces it.

Your plea is in vain. You think if it ever would have made a difference that it matters now? And here? No. And that is why your post is a rant.

The best thing you can do is talk to whomever you bought the device from. That is your recourse.

Playbook And Bb10

Frankly, who cares what OS is in the PlayBook? What matters is whether it does what I want. That is true for any device. Does it do what you want now, not sometime in the maybe distant future. Most likely all the companies have corporate strategies, hardware and software in development that will make whatever is on the market now obsolete, and maybe put the competition in a world of hurt.

For me, at today's price the PlayBook is a good deal today. If,by chance, something better comes along down the road and the price is right I Might replace it, just like I'd do with any other item. If an update to the PlayBook comes along so much the better.

Buy it. If you haven't already done so.

Check this one out by Mungen. It's not a huge difference as it's 1500 MAh, but it's the same size as the original. Mungen makes a very good product. This is the only battery I've used for a long while now and it's great. Gives me a full day which is all I need.

Nope.
No one said ANYTHING about IPD files, did they?

Link has a facility (which somewhat works) to move data from one device to another, similar to the switch device wizard.

Link has a backup and restore facility.

The IPD's were just an assumption. Ugh.... OK. I researched the link and found the how-to procedure:

Transfer from iPhone & Android to BlackBerry 10 Smartphones - US (http://us.blackberry.com/support/transferring-to-bb10-device.html)

It seems everything will transfer except the emails. Tasks and memos will only transfer if it was a BIS phone.

I guess the new backup utility will create some new proprietary file.
