Our Firewalls at work are very strict. So strict, the BB Desktop Mgr Software can't link to BB's website and allow me to set the sync paramiters for Outlook.

However, the IT guys say they can open the exact Firewall ports to allow the software to link if they know exactly which specific TCP/IP Port Addresses the software requires to link up to Blackberry and thereby allowing the software to fully function and allow me to sync to Outlook?

Does anyone know them all. There seems to be more than one.
Thank you.

Last night I upgrade to the new OS, and my calendar was completely wiped. I regularly back up my BB on desktop manager. Nothing else was affected. I'm not sure what I did wrong. Also, my owner info was erased. Can I restore just my calendar? I don't have my calendar synchronized with any app on my computer because I don't have any calendar client on my computer. I'm hoping a regular back up also backs up my calendar because I had my entire schedule on my BB calendar. Can anyone offer any help? Thank you.
I have a 9630 on Verizon.

Hi there,

i recently purchased a used unlocked VZW Tour. Got GSM/3G coverage with my o2 Germany SIM card but i can not get "GPRS" only "gprs", same with 3G, dataconnection seems to be rejected.

I have used this SIM with several BB's ever since i got the BB Option on it.

when i want to set up email through the device there is only a option for BES but i need BIS.
Also adding the device Pin/Imei into o2 BIS returns something like "not allowed for your service provider"...

any idea on how to get this thing to work or do I just need another device?
