Hey guys I recently came back to Blackberry after a short stint with the iphone, due to it's ability to properly sync with my MAC.

Now that I'm back with Blackberry, I nearly lost all my contacts cause the MAC DM sync screwed up. Is there any service with any US carriers that do contacts/calendar PIM sync OTA with BIS?

Thinking I might need to go back to the iphone for the solid syncing of PIM, but prefer to stay with Blackberry.

Please let me know if you know of a better solution without the need for a PC to sync PIM.

Thanks in advance.

i have been using BB DM for mac since it became available with really no problems. My storm is synchronized with my work schedule through our BES but i also sync with home computer which has ical. other than minor issues such as duplication of events quite often it has been working ok. the last couple of days when i try and sync with my macbook it has not worked at all. i get the message "the calendar database cannot be accessed for synchronization. for help resolving this issue refer to KB 19454 in the BB DM Knowledge BAse". I have searched high and low everywhere including the BB web site as well as various forums and can find no reference to this error code. I know i have to turn off wireless sync when i sync with my macbook. i can't understand why this was working and now nothing at all. absolutely nothing has changed. thanks for any help

Hi
I am currently using Mac OSX 10.8 on a G4 Power PC with BDTM 1.0.1 to SUCCESSFULLY sync / backup my Curve 8900.

I am going to upgrade my machine to a new iMac running 10.6

Can anyone help with suggestions as to the best way to ensure continued success - apart from making the obvious backups before I start.

i.e. Download new BDTM for the iMac - will I need to re-register the Curve with the new desktop?
Will I need to re-set sync services?
What sort of sync should I do for the first time?
Any other ideas / suggestions / help?

Many thanks
Tony

I found the step by step guide in general blackberry discussion but I have a MAC so that makes going in program files impossible. :-o

How do we get around this?

Can anybody with leopard or snow leopard get the icon for system preferences and get it to me. if you dont know how, heres how you get the icon:

Ok. Application icons can be found by opening Finder, browsing to Applications, and then finding the icon of the application you want. From here, there are two options (you only need to follow one):
Single click on the application icon and then press COMMAND-I. At the top of the window that opens up is a small icon representative of the application icon. Single click on this and press COMMAND-C. Next, open up Preview and press COMMAND-N. The icon should open in Preview. From here, you can save it in whatever format you wish.
Right click on the application icon and select Show Package Contents. Browse to the Resources folder. Inside this folder you will find a slew of items including icons used by the program. Select the icon you want and press COMMAND-C. Open Preview and press COMMAND-N. The icon should open in Preview, just as it did above.

Another place to find system icons is \System\Library\Core Services. Look for Core Types.bundle, right click on it, and select Show Package Contents. Again browse to Resources, and look for icons you are interested in. Use the steps above (COMMAND-C, Preview, etc.) to extract the icons you want.

Thanks

I'm sure this is a stupid question, but I recently started using my Curve with PocketMac for Blackberry. I'm able to plug in the device and sync my contacts, but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to eject it! I've tried just unplugging, but I get a message saying that the device was not ejected properly, and none of my new contacts have transferred to the phone. I've looked everywhere for some sort of "eject" option, but no luck. Where is it?

The error message says to select my device from the finder menu, but it isn't there, and the Blackberry doesn't show up as an icon the way my iPod does. How do I eject my device? I've successfully transferred contacts in the past, so I know it's there somewhere, but I'm blanking. Help!

So I made the move and bought the Tour. Now I have a question for all of you out there who use Mac Mail at home on your Mac and have a BlackBerry:

How do you have your e-mail accounts set up on your BlackBerry so that everything you do as far as sending/deleting/editing e-mail messages is reflected accurately in your Mac Mail? Basically, how do you set it up so the two work most efficiently with each other?
