While an outright and immediate ban is certainly justified, it would be anti-climatic for a moderator here to just ban "ApacheIndian", especially after his most recent sexist and racist comments directed not only at specific members of this forum, but entire peoples in general.

So, you get a vote. Yes, like Larry the Lobster of years past, you can vote to ban ApacheIndian, or keep him (even if it is only for personal entertainment value). Consider this either a public show of support for him, or your public whipping.

You decide.

I will even give ApacheIndian a 25 vote headstart. Will that make it fair?

The poll will end in 72 hours.

Hello I wanted to start a thread becuase I am actually looking for some help. You see I work for a company that produces poly bags, film and tubing for industrial packaging. We have very young and aggressive owners who are very eager to utilize everything that we have at our fingertips. Being that we are dealing with a company that is Nationwide we have a large customer base that is using outside sales to sell packaging. Ok the point

We are looking at making our website more mobile friendly. We have the capability to quote online, track online, price stock online as well as get up to date information on product line and industry standards. I am reaching out to you to get some input from you on what makes a mobile site perfect for you. What could we do to not only make it easier for our customers to use our web from PDA's but for them to use it more frequently and of course quote and view quotes from the device. Any help I could get would be greatly appriciated.

I'm a month past my the end of my 2 year contract. Tmobile sent me a letter saying:

Quote:

blah, blah, blah "...important customers like you... We are writing today to tell you about some very important changes to T-Mobile's rate plan, which could mean substantial savings over your current plan...

Of course they are just trying to lock me into another 2 year contract, which is completely expected. AT&T swamped me when that contract was ending.

Checking online, Tmobile is no longer inexpensive. I'm $20/month better off just staying with my current plan.

I have the Blackberry Minutes and Mail plan, $59.99 for 1,000 minutes, no nights and weekend minutes, unlimited data and email, and unlimited text messages. They made a mistake offering that plan because it was too cheap, but life isn't fair.

The lowest I can cobble together now is $79.99. I'd get only 500 anytime minutes but unlimited weekends and nights, and unlimited calling to other Tmobile custeroms, so theoretically a better plan. But I don't need those minutes.

Sprint is now my cheapest alternative at $69.99, AT&T $10 higher than Tmobile, and Verizon $20 higher. Even an iphone plan with just a sufficienct 200 texts is $74.99/month.

Hard choice, Tmobile. Stay month to month and be able to switch to any other provider at any time, or pay $20/month more and lock in another 2 years.

I've had this unit for 4 months and can't stand it. From the constant question notifications when changing BACK to the previous screen, to the horrible lag and the lack of intuitive usefulness when utilizing the speaker phone feature...then back to keyboard...then trying to check your email or make a note of the conversation you are involved in, tonnes of accidental hang up on clients, too long to switch from the vertical to horizontal screen...and on and on.(n)(n)(n)(n)(n)(n)
I think that RIM should recall these units and provide a free upgrade.:bb:

Well, I want to love my new Tour, but how can the world's standard in an email device not allow you to create email folders (ie a folder for "Emails from mom" or a folder for "emails from my employees", etc.
I imagine this feature is available if you use the corporate enterprise version, but even the basic email should have the option to create folders! Now, with every email just saved in one folder, you might never find a particuilar email if you had 100's saved....and while I'm whining--what a cheesy, tedious, and time-consuming appointment calendar. I heard that Pimlico's "Datebook" will soon be available soon as a 3rd party app on the Tour. I used it on Palm for 10 years. It's a fantastic planner!

Ok, I feel better now...Bill

I love it. Two thumbs up! I've been using it for a while, seeding it with artists I like, giving thumbs up and thumbs down feedback, and it has me pegged. What I like best is having it serve up music I've never heard but probably will like. It's right most of the time, pushes the envelope a little bit, but the errors are tolerable and I only have to do thumbs down once in a while. Maybe the concepts of the software are simple when you know and understand how it works, but I'm amazed by it.

If you haven't already, you gotta give it a try.

Ok, most of you already know I have Storm2... And I'm really not crazy about it, maybe it's too much of change? I'm really considering returning it and either going with the Tour or waiting for the Tour2, but if I kept the Storm2 I am sure I would adapt to it I mean I work in IT it's part of my job to adapt to new technology, but I think this is one exception to the rule, for the mere fact that I do not have to adapt this is my personal device and I don't want to struggle with it.

Plus I think a major part of my resentment to the Storm is the other slew of changes, the new Charging port which makes charging anywhere a bit more difficult since I have spare USB cables all over the place but not for the newer devices, and I had the charging cradle for my Curve which is just a real nice novelty to have, but I would run into this problem no matter what even if I purchased the tour.

OS 5.0 is also so much different, I miss my Dimension L theme, I had my icons setup the way I needed without the need to flick screens and folders, the Precision themes are just seem so much darker I miss the bright colors lol. However I think my biggest gripe is the fact I actually have to look for the options now where as before I would just constantly hit the keyboard and get to where I needed without barely track ball at all.

Sorry but I just have to rant... (and I posted in the right place to  )

I have been a loyal BlackBerry user and fan for 4 years... 8830 World Edition, then 8330 Curve, now the Tour. I have used them and sung their praises and recommended them to others. I have not jumped ship to iPhone b/c of the iPhone's lack of a keyboard and resultant inability to type on rapidly -- and also b/c of VZW's superior coverage and service as compared to AT&T.

But I haven't been happy with all the freezing up and sluggisness of my BB's. I have done all the memory maximizer hacks, deleted a lot of apps I don't use, and I've even refrained from installing apps that I wanted in order to "conserve" precious processing power/memory. (Won't even mention how some very important apps -- e.g. Audible -- doesn't even work right on BB.)

VZW Droid is coming out soon and is getting rave reviews. I am seriously considering bailing.

Thoughts?

Why did Blackberry decide to use Roxio for their media manager? I have never had good luck with Roxio and it appears, I never will. In additon, this program is slower than molasses in the Antarctic.

Part of that problem might be my mistake. When I first installed it, it asked if I wanted it to catalog all my photos, and like a dumb a** I said yes. Did not understand that from that time on, when I open the manager it looks at all my photo files and loads displays their images.

When you have over 2000 image files on a hard drive, and some are in proprietary Nikon RAW format, it takes almost 15 minutes to load and display (and it can't display the Nikon NEF files, but it sure does try).

PS Bridge displays all photos too, but only take about 20 seconds to load and display. This Roxio is a POS.

I am going to load the manager again, then this Roxio POS program and this time, I will tell it to NOT catalog my photos; hopefully it will open a lot faster in the future.

Ok...rant now over....

Both my 8100 Tmobile Pearl and my old 8830 WE through VZW are still active, and the current owners are complete jack@$$'. I was just saying Hi, and that i was the previous owner of the devices, and they just lashed back at me saying "WTF are you?", "WHy are you messaging me?"

I'm very surprised at this, im taken back by the hostility.
So if any of you had either of my old PINs, sorry, if you messaged me and somone was an @$$, sorry it was NOT me.

I'm relatively new to BB's only three months into my first one. I'm mostly happy with my device; however, it seems RIM overlooked the little things I'd think would make a great device superior. It drives me crazy that I can't capture a phone number from the call log or an email address from a received email and add it to an existing contact (I have to cut and paste unless I'm doing something wrong) I also can't understand why there is no dedicated Shift Lock key allowing for the entry of multiple numbers. Also it seems there should have been a default "today screen" allowing an at a glance look at current and future appointments. I get the privacy thing and some not wanting their appointments displayed on the home screen, but I'd love to have that option. Not trying to look for flaws as there is no such thing as the perfect device, but I'm sure these simple things would benefit most BB users. I know there are third party apps to cover what I'm writing but I don't think we should have to pay for something that should come standard.
