It started with my alarm showing but with no sound and today I found out that the phone doesn't ring when I get a call or a text message. I tried to change the ringtones and use different profiles but there was no sound. It only vibrates when I select vibrate+tone. I tried to play Pandora and it would not play. I tried my music and it skipped a number of tracks, saying the media processor was busy, then played only one song and started skipping again. Does anyone know what could be wrong with the phone? Do you think reinstalling the OS might fix the problem? thanks

I have a problem with my Blackberry Curve 8330 on the Alltel network. The USB port does not seem to function properly any more. It did until last week. Here are the symptoms:

a) PC does not detect it as a drive and gives me this message: "USB Device Not Recognized. One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it."
b) Will not connect to BB Desktop Manager. (Works via bluetooth though. But that has its limitations.) Uninstalled and reinstalled DM twice.
c) Will not tether.

However it does show that the phone is charging when connected and the desktop does know it's there because it give the message. I have tried it on three computers with no luck. They are all computers that it worked on before. Any ideas? Dead USB or software problem? Thanks.

My curve 8310 seems to be downloading podcasts into the ringtone path.

Is the media player full? The downloads are accesable through the profile, advanced option then --show ringtones. All the same downloads are listed in all songs on media player but there are there and several that DO NOT SHOW UP in the all songs on the media player.

Yes the ones under ringtones are playable. These downloads seem to be in the media card path and not devise memory path. It is just aggravating to not have some downloads listed in the media player. I cannot edit them in WMP. Its like they arent there

I can locate them on Media Manager software listed on my memory card. It is a 16G memory card which maybe to much for the curve 8310. I cant even get the new OS --can I?

Do I need a new storm 2 ?:bb:

Any help in getting them listed in my media player would be appreciated. I cant seem to change the path?

thnx

hi everyone! I'm new to this forum :)

well I've been having a lot of dumb questions about my curve and whenever I search my question up online, I always look at search options from this forum! I have a kinda big problem now that I don't think anyone has asked before on this particular forum.

so today I saw that my phone had a smiley face on it so I checked my voice mail and I had a message. I deleted that message and when I disconnected with my voicemail, the smiley was still there. usually a smiley would have a 1 next to it or something but my smiley is by itself. and I realized that this smiley stops all texts coming into my phone. I can send texts but can recieve any. wat do u guys think happened and how can I fix this problem??

I'm having a little trouble. I am trying to downgrade my OS from 4.5 to 4.3.0.124. I usd jl_cmder to remove the os and I am now at the 507 screen. I downloaded the 4.3 Alltel OS from the BB website and installed it on my pc. I go in to the app loader folder and delete the vendor.mxl file. I start the loader and it detects my blackberry just fine. But then comes the screen that says it is reading my device service info. It goes through that process and then shoots to the next screen and says it doesn't have any software for the device I have connected. I'm stumped. I checked to make sure that the Alltel 4.3 OS was installed on the pc and it was (even uninstalled and reinstalled). If anyone could help me with this I would really appreciate it. And just so you know I am using Blackberry Desktop 4.6 with an Alltel Blackberry Curve 8330.

4. Check for data connection without Wifi
- sent to device from gmail, yahoo and BB messenger. No go
7. Battery pull
Each time I pulled the battery, I let it sit for a few. I have an unlimited dataplan and all was working before. I have good signal strength and it says EDGE by the signal strength icon vice GSM. Also, no one else is complaining about problems with their BB. Is there a setting I can check? My mobile network data services are on and when I open a data app, I see the arrows for a second then they stop. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi everyone,
ever since I first upgraded my msn live to 2.5 I had history problem, if they are saved to the memory card, it only says loading when trying to access the history of any contact, and if I put of saving onto the device memory, it will only keep one line or two of text per contact!

Pre 2.5, i had complete history of every contact, classified by month and date.

Anyone else having this problem? Ive google msn live 2.5 blackerry history and could only found one person saying so in a reviwe
