I have a blackberry 7130c and the icon for the Messenger application is in a folder titled "applications". Is there anyway to move the Messenger application icon out of the folder and onto my home screen for quicker access?

I believe this is dependant on the theme you are using. I don't recall their being a way to move it up a level, but may be wrong. If you can't, you could assign the BlackBerry Messenger to one of the covenience keys.

Well there could already be more on your BB, Options > Themes.
