Default accept meeting - 06-29-2005, 09:48 AM

Hello,

We're running BES 3.6 on W2K3 with Exchange 2003 and have two users. I'm one of them with a BB 7230, the other user just got a BB 7100G. The 7100G user does not see the option to accept meetings when he receives an invitation from Outlook, however, I can accept invitations to meetings with no problems.

I had the user do this:

Desktop Manager / Intellisync / Configure PIM and change Calendar to BlackBerry Wireless Calendar

which we thought was the problem, but that didn't seem to do the trick. I also noticed the following in the BES log for this user:

{user@mycompany.com} Calendar synchronization has been disabled

whereas for me the same entry reads enabled.

Maybe there's some option on the 7100G itself? I don't suspect BES because it worked on the user's old BB and it works on my BB.

thanks,
George

PS We've also bounced the BES services.

Sorry, no clue. I have a 7100G on our BES and can accept them fine. I have to open the message first, then once inside just click the wheel and choose accept. I'll try to ask our BES admin today.

Default problem solved - 06-29-2005, 01:59 PM

The user decided to retry setting up wireless syncing. Once he did that, I could see in the BES logs that he was now enabled for wireless calendar syncing. Why did this not work the first time he did this I do not know.
