Default 7100g Question - 07-06-2005, 03:44 PM

I want to buy a pda that I can sync calendars, contacts, and emails. Edit these things while on the road and sync them to my PC and have it populate my MS Outlook. I have no need to have the wireless push technology at this time especially not for $49 a month, I just cant see myelf justifying it yet. If I purchase Blackberry 7100 series phone, will I have access to these functions without purchasing the Blackberry plan, or do they strip more options than just the wirelss "push" technologies?

In order to use any e-mail or data features of the Blackberry, you need a Blackberry Data plan.

But the correct answer to the question is that if all you want to do is sync, you can just buy the BB and use it. It's a waste of money without the push e-mail, but you can do it. No e-mail. No Internet. No browsing. But you can sync with Outlook.

Will I be able to sync my Outlook, read those emails while out of the office, reply to them on the 7100, sync when I get back to my office where they will populate in my Outlook Out box, and all I have to do is hit send from my PC Outlook? Is this correct? I should also be able to sync all my contacts and calendars to my 7100, out of the box, without a BB data plan, correct?

Calendars and contacts... yes. E-Mails... no. E-Mails do not sync on the blackberry.

Like we mentioned before, in order to use e-mail on the blackberry, you need a blackberry data plan.
