Default 7130v - not vibrating anymore - 02-29-2008, 06:22 AM

Hi,
Had faultless use of my 7130v for about 15 months and this morning it stopped vibrating (in vibe mode naturally)...other profiles work fine, tried switching off and on etc.

Can anyone throw some light on this please?

Regards,
Neill

Neill, you said you tried swtiching on and off, but remove the battery while the BB is powered ON, hold for 30 seconds and replace to reboot the BB.

Thanks for the tip, sadly it did not resolve the issue

Is this a known problem?

Regards,
Neill

I can now confirm this is hardware related....shockingly I ended up slapping the phone quite hard onto a wooden surface and the 'vibrate' suddenly started working again....I now have to do this quite regularly

Be on the lookout for a new device, or the BB-Abuse Swat Team.

New device sounds the safest option methinks

My contract is up in June so I will be forced to buy one of the new 'What no thumbwheel' devices.....(why did they drop that cool idea... )
