Default my 7100T just died - 04-30-2008, 08:41 PM

Hello-

I am new to the Blackberry, and here is my situation. I got a t-mobile 7100t off of Ebay express. I received it 8 days ago and it worked for 4 days until I would get "Device Error 322" or "Device Error 400" every now and then. Then today i could not get it to turn on for about an hour. Finally, after repeatedly removing the battery and keeping it out for at least 30 sec, i got it working, backed it up on my PC, downloaded the latest OS for it, and followed the instructions on this site for wiping the device clean and reloading everything. That was about 1 hour ago. It worked fine for maybe 20 minutes and now i cannot get it to get past the "Device Error 322" screen.

What should I do?
Thank you so much!
B

You can try wiping the device again, not much more I don't think, it's an older device.

Thanks for the response.

From what research I have done, it seems it could be a hardware corruption issue. I have contacted the seller and may be able to exchange it for a differnet one. I really like the phone, so if a replacement is an option, i will probably go that route and hope that the new one works.

In the meantime I still have the phone so if anyone has more ideas i'd love to hear 'em.

Thanks!

Try wiping it with this program.

I can't get it to work...i've been reading the FAQ and directions over and over. I click run and the black box opens but disappears after maybe 2 milliseconds, just a black flash. I tried the alternative solution but I have no experience with command prompts and cant get them to work.

Help?

Thanks for the help but I am sending the phone back and the seller is refunding me my money. I will probably go on and re-up my contract and get a new phone from t-mobile. Thanks!

JL_Cmder.cmd

I think this is the one you have to click. "Run" it on the next screen, then you'll see the program in DOS style. I'm running Vista on my desktop. Got the same experience when I first ran JL_Cmder.

Let us know what happens.
