BlackBerry 7100g™ / Pkg:4.1.0.556, App:4.1.0.377, Plt:1.8.0.154 (CINGULAR)

This is the latest OS for your device, both for your 7100g and 7290.

BlackBerry Search Results suggests you are on the right track if it is a device error code 365.

But BlackBerry Search Results says contact your service provider if it is a java error code 365.

I'm a dummy when it comes to this stuff and can just point. Which does your 7100g say it is, device or java?

Wirelessly posted (8700g)

See the many threads here where people have trouble connecting when following http://blackberryfaq.com/index.php/W...ect_and_w ipe. The advice is keep trying until you get the timing right and connect. I've seen many threads that cinfirm this advice. Keep trying.

You got to the point where you are reinstalling the operating system? Did you download the handheld software (the operting system) to your PC and run the installer?

The handheld software can be from any carrier, but must be for your model blackberry.
