Default Media Files..... - 05-10-2008, 11:54 AM

How do you view media files on an 7100i (Nextel)

If you go to compose an MMS message and choose to insert Audio, you get a list of files. usually midi. I have all midi and 1 amr file which was a voice note that was sent from another blackberry, non-nextel version.

2 Questions

How do I play the midi files without adding them to an MMS message

and

How do I get rid of "voicenote.amr"

I spoke with nextel reps and they are useless....

Basically a file manager will do it for me. As long as I can view files and delete files Ill be good...I tried downloading Rove File Manager but that did absolutely nothing worthwhile. I couldnt even view the files on my device, just browse network, which is of no use to me.

When installing files it gives a path....I want to be able to access that path from the phone.

anyone????

I believe the only way to play the midi files is to listen to them as ringtunes in profiles. There is no "file manager" for the 7100i.

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

If you have the flexibility to change devices, its time for an upgrade.

I can't listen to those midi files...they don't show up.

Also, Nextel has no other blackberry...that what we use in the fire dept

Go to C:/program files/common files/research in motion/apploader and delete vendor.xml file. Then you should be able to load the OS.
