Default e-mail Question - 05-12-2008, 12:13 PM

I am new to the Foum and Balckberrys. so please dont flame me. I orginal had a old motorola and had a frien that had a used 7100I he was not using so i swaped sim card with it and was able to use phone fine. My question is can get my e-mails sent to me with out changing my service plane. This is my work sim card and it is not set up with aything other the sending and reciving calls and recieving only for text. Am i out of luck ?
