Ok, I'm new to blackberry and I've search the site but am unable to find my question or an answer.

My issue is that when I receive or make a call it appears in both my messages and call log, which is what I want. Then when I decide to delete one of the numbers from my message it also deletes it from my call log, which is what I don't want. Is there a way to make it so that when deleting from the message folder that it won't affect the call log folder? I know of the option to turn off calls appearing in my messages via call logging found in call log but that is not what I want to do.

You can 'hide' the calls from showing in your Messages folder. Click on the Phone/Call Log icon, then click wheel and go into Options, then click on Call Logging. Set it to None and save it.

The call logs are technically still IN the Messages folder, you just have to do View Folder to see them.
