So I got a phone on eBay in the mail today and i powered up with my sim card ( I have T mobile by the way) and it says Data Connection Refused on the top right of the screen. I tried to make a call and all it says is CALL FAILED. I sat on the phone with t mobile for an hour going through all the scenarios to fix it and they told me it wasn't going to work, could some one help me please

You need a BlackBerry Data Plan provisioned on your account.
That's what 'Data Connection Refused' means.

You should call T-mobile again. Have them add the correct data plan and also check your voice plan.
