I've had my Blackberry for 2 years. I have the 7130.

All of a sudden, these two icons just started showing up and I don't know how to get them to go away. They only appear when my phone is locked. Both of the icons are in the upper left hand corner.

The first icon is a small #1 with a little box to the right of it with a "31" inside.

The second icon is a small check box with a little red check in the middle with a #2 next to it.

Does anyone know what these symbols mean?

The first signifies one new Calendar reminder. The second signifies two new Task reminders.

Have you tried pulling the battery to see if it will clear the icons?

wipe the phone and start over
