Default Data speeds for Nextel 7100i users? - 06-10-2008, 05:33 PM

I currently have a sprint ic902 but need something to help keep me more organized so I got a 7100i on ebay. How are the data speeds on the 7100i compared to the sprint speeds.

Not even close to EVDO speeds on Sprint.
iDen is slow.

I would recommend selling that 7100i and going for a Sprint BlackBerry.

I can't... I can't afford to give up the direct connect which i use frequently for work.

That's too bad. iDEN is the slowest network out there. Although the 7100i is a good device - I had one for about 2 years.

Imagine back when you used a 56k modem. Then divide that speed by 2 and that is about what you get with any Nextel BlackBerry.

Remember, please try searching first!

Need a screenshot? ... Like JavaLoader?
Try using BBscreen .....Use JL_Cmder!
or BBScreenShooter!

best answer, keep two devices. you will be terribly unhappy with iDEN speeds. get a sprint BB for data only and use the voice/PTT of the ic502
