Default Using without RIM servers? - 06-17-2008, 09:26 AM

Is there anyway I can setup my BlackBerry 7100v to connect to the net like a normal phone, or do I have to use the BlackBerry servers?

Thanks again!

Do market stalls that sell phones unlock BlackBerries (they usually use a spacial box)? If they do, it would make things much easier!

Unlocking a BB for use on another carriers is a software matter, not hardware, no boxes needed. You might be able to inquire at a market stall, but it will still need to be emailed to you from the Carrier, they won't/can't give it to you "over the counter".

Read the FAQ link.

Whatever, you have my best advice above. If that works for you, it works.

OK, well I will go and check at the market, if that box unlocks BlackBerries then I may find someone who has one who will unlock the BlackBerry for me, if not I will try and talk to Vodafone.
