Default 7100t OS HELP - 06-19-2008, 02:48 PM

Hey. I'm in need of the latest OS for my very old Blackberry 7100t. In order for me to get this, i need a valid T-Mobile phone number to download it from the site. If anyone can help me, give me a phone number or another link to get this OS, it will be appreciated.

TY

Welcome to the BBforums.

Get the ATT version , more up to date 4.1.0.566

Follow these instructions:
How do I upgrade the OS on my BlackBerry? - BlackBerryFAQ

and you will be fine... yes you can load the ATT version with no problem if you follow those instructions, and no, it won't affect any operation of the device, it won't even know its the ATT version.

Thnks JSanders. But this blackberry Problem is way more bigger than an OS update. Do u or anyone out there know how to fix the "Device Error 400". I tried putting in some apps that wasn't for it's previous OS. I've tried to wipe it out with JL_Cmder, and tried to use the Desktop Manager to put in the OS that i downloaded a while ago but no response.

You need to get JL_cmder to work. Keep trying it, I know of times it took 20 tries to get it to connect.

If not, try this method... What to do next if Jl Cmder will not connect and wipe - BlackBerryFAQ

Since you don't say what OS you are trying to use.. you might just use the one recommended.

That message (mentioned several times in other threads) means that the USB is not generating enough power for the BB. Are you connected through a hub? Try another USB port.

Try another computer.

Do you have other USB devices plugged into the computer? Try unplugging other devices first.
