Is there anyway to lock the keyboard with a security code where it can't be accessed by anyone?

yes, go into options > security and set a password.

Thanks. Next question....i bought the phone from someone else. How do I reset the password already on the phone?

you cant. They have to give it too you or just keep entering it wrong and it will wipe the device clean. Then you'll be able to set your own

All personal information would be wiped from the device, but the device will function just fine after that.
