Im a newbie here and especially in using BB. I have a 7130g issued by the company but there are not a lot of things you can do with it. First, I cannot find a way to install my own mp3 files as ringtone. Secondly, I cannot seem to find out how to install new themes, etc. I've been looking around this site but there isn't a lot of 7130g topics. So i thought maybe i can upgrade my OS (currently using 4.1.0.317) to v4.2. But before doing so I thought of asking for help from the experts here and see what they have to say before I go on with it. Thanks in advance

The 7130 can't play mp3 files.

Follow the directions there, and you will be fine.

The 7130g is getting to be an old device. They are becoming obsolete. You'll have to search around for themes that are built for OS 4.1 and older. Check the Media Forum but you'll have to look a year or two back. Have you been to http://mobile.blackberry.com on your BB?

Thanks guys for your immediate reply. Based on your replies, I think it is safe to say that upgrading my OS won't really solve my problems such as ringtones and stuff. Thank you for suggesting mobile.blackberry.com John Clark. But when I downloaded some tones, I couldn't find it anymore, as well as the themes. Im sorry, I must admit I am so useless when it comes to BB. Thank you also JSanders for your suggestion. I've actually read that forum over and over again thinking whether i should push through with the upgrade. thanks a lot guys
