from what I saw on a few other threads, I wiped with JL_Cmder and worked fine first try wiped clean to teh "507 error" but when I try to reload the OS it still gives me a fatal error. I have retried a dozen times nd always a fatal error bb freezes with white screen showing computer to BB. if I disconect from PC i get reboot with wierd partial programming ( I get a list of parts of the OS like options, saved messages, address book, etc only "options" and "owner" seem to work

With all this info can anyone help???

Are you connecting to a USB port directly on the computer? Don't connect to a hub of any kind.

If that isn't the problem, try reinstalling Desktop Manager and the OS to your PC and try again. Make certain you are using an OS for the 7100 or 7105 and not for any other model. If that still doesn't do it, you might try another PC. It sounds more like a computer problem than a device problem.

I am connected directly to the USB on my PC No hub

I have uninstalled and reinstalled both the OS and the desktop manager. still get a fatal error in the same place every time...

My computer is one month out of the box today...

Talking Solved problem - 07-02-2008, 03:19 AM

Had a brain storm! I was using desktop manager version 4.5 uninstalled and put on version 4.3 and it worked like a charm. didn't even need to do a wipe.... Must be a bug in the 4.5v that is not compatable with this software upgrade.
