Default Receiving Unknown Person's Email - 07-02-2008, 09:11 AM

I've had the Blackberry 7130 about 3 months now. It is a replacement phone from my friend that I'm only using temporarily and so far I have not used it for any email of any kind.

Yesterday out of the blue my phone was set up to receive an unknown person's email. I didn't do anything to the phone, I just picked it up to check the time and suddenly this person's email was activated on it.

My friend was not the first owner of the phone but he has had it since last August with no problems.

I have emailed the person but haven't received a response yet. Is there anything else I can do? I've managed to delete the email icons relating to his addresses, but I still receive text messages every time he gets an email...

Thanks

The text messages I doubt you can stop other than contacting the previous owner.

The email, you can delete the Service Books at Options > Advanced > Service Books and find the ones with the email address you need to delete. BUT, those can be pushed by back to the device, so contacting the owner will help.

Also, calling your VZW carrier and telling them to remove the PIN from the previous user's account will kill the email.
