Default Assign a speed dial to the key problem - 10-27-2008, 09:15 AM

Hi,

One of my users (7100i) is having a speed dial assign issue. Every time he takes the BB out of the holster a message appears on screen asking to assign a speed dial to the key. There are yes and no buttons but you can't scroll to use them. You either have to press the N key for no or press the scroll wheel which takes you to the address book and then click the end button to get back the main screen.

Has anyone experienced this and better yet, have a remedy? I guess I could wipe and reload the O/S but am hoping for an easier, less intrusive fix.

Thanks

Wirelessly posted (8320 Titanium)

Does this holster have a sleeper magnet? Is the BB set to lock upon holstering? It sounds like the buttons are getting pressed either in the holster or while being pulled out...being locked while in the holster should fix the issue...

You're probably right.

The guy worked around the issue by no longer using the holster. He has another issue with it and the speakerphone. It is one of those MIKE, as we call them up here (Nextel for you southeners) and he has to now use the earphones so he can hear properly. Beacuse of this it easier to put the BB in his shirt pocket rather than holstered to his waist. We are going to replace it with the new MIKE Curve when they are available so he is alright as is for now.

Thanks
