Default T-Mobile blackberry to AT&T branding? - 02-20-2009, 10:25 AM

Hello, I got an unlocked t-mobile 7100t from ebay, and it works great for talking on the phone and stuff, but the internet browser doesn't work. Is there a way I can reflash it with AT&T branded firmware so it works with all the features? Thanks.

1) The internet browser is not installed. You can install it easily with the Desktop Manager and Application Loader for BB 7100t.

2) You must subscribe the Blackberry data service for any web access with the BB apps.

3) The most common step to fix the problem via your BlackBerry is: Options Icon -> Host Routing Tables -> Register Now

4) If the above instructions failed, try stepping through these instructions one by one

- Try getting your service books retransmitted.
a. Login to your BlackBerry Web Client (BWC/BIS) site.
b. Click "Profiles" (At the top of your BWC webpage via your PC)
c. Click "Send Internet Browser Service Book"
-Try rebooting your BlackBerry by removing and reinserting battery.
-If that does not work, and you are on a BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES), try re-activating your BlackBerry on BES. This may be as simple as connecting your BlackBerry to your PC and synchronizing your BlackBerry while Outlook is in ONLINE mode.

You need a BB data plan to get the BB browser. Once that is added and your carrier pushes the service books, the Browser should appear. If you have a generic data plan, you can download and install Opera Mini.

I use an unlocked T-Mobile 7105t on AT&T and with the Blackberry data plan the browser worked right away, no troubles at all.

I downloaded mini opera and works like a charm with T-mobile...
