I bought mine 7130c from overstock.com as new but looks suspicious.
White charger with black phone? also old OS, I just upgraded it and battery
has some dent on it. I'll contact overstock but first I wanted to run this by you.
thanks

It may be an older model with an older OS but you can update that easily. Most older "new" phones (as opposed to newer model phones) still come with the older OS on them.
If you got it at a good price and everything works I would not worry about it?
"The only timer that is on there is to tell if a device is new. Once you have exceeded 250k of data and 60 minutes talk time. To view: Menu>options>Status then type BUYR (using multi-tap method)."
I tried this on my Bold and it works. It won't tell you exactly how much use your device has see, but it will tell you if your device has seen more than 250k/60 minutes of use.
You type and you don't see anything happen until you hit the last letter.
Multi-Tap is when you turn off SureType and enter letters the old fashioned way: Press a key once for the first letter listed on that key, twice for the second letter, etc. For numbers you hold down the Alt key when you press the number.
To disable SureType and enable Multi-Tap you can open a blank email, hit the Menu key, and select "enable Multi-Tap" from the drop-down list of choices. Same process for going back to SureType.
I didn't understand what you acchiving with that timer please let me know I already made it and get 2 new lines that in the left side write there according IT manager
Rambo thanks but it doesn't seem to show anything on mine phone when I type BUYR in status mode. I've enabled multi-tap since I prefer it anyway for typing.
It should simply add two hidden lines at the bottom of your Status screen - Data Usage and Voice Usage. Mine simply reports Data Usage: Exceeded 250K and Voice Usage: Exceeded 60 Minutes.
