Default multi-tap versus SureType??? - 03-01-2009, 11:13 PM

what is your opinion is it worthy invest some time in learning SureType input method or stick to the multi-tap way which I'm more used?
I tried few times and it wasn't easy and quick, looks like BB didn't suggested most of the words.
thanks

The 7100 does NOT have predictive text which predicts words, but SureType, which enables use of the condensed keyboard.

The proper way of using SureType is to completely type the intended word and 99% of the time, it will be spot on. Don't look at the screen and the word that might be coming, but watch your keyboard and just hit the correct keys.

Wirelessly posted (BB 8330)

I second that. The newer 81XX models do this very well. I can type just as fast on them as a full keyboard.

I just tried your suggestion to ignore the screen and SureType really works well!
predictions is very accurate, so the trick was not to look at the screen...at first I looked and was correcting SureType in the middle of its work unnecessary. This is actually typing almost like on regular full keyboard like I had on Nokia E61 but having bigger keys, great.
thanks guys

Good luck.

Now, the next key is to give SureType two weeks use and you'll never notice the difference.

good luck.
