Default texting on a 7100i with boost sim - 04-23-2009, 08:17 PM

Ok im about finished with my phone here i got a used phone, searched alot installed tested alot. heck i even got service books goin by using the hack i found which had me puzzled. none of anyones help on here or pinstack worked for servicbooks but its all good. im evn making my own ringtones to use. this is gonna be dumb but is there a basic app out there that i can goto addy book click on a name and send a simple text i cant figure out the mail thing i tryed some1's suggestion on tele# @ teleflip.com etc im lost. i dont care about yahoo aim etc i just want to text simple point blank! btw i have been screwing with this now for 6 days i like the phone but truthfully thinking about getting a used i930 and trying it out. any help with the texting would be great oh and i dont want to pay a penny for a app so free is what im looking 4.

I'm not sure where you searched, but you cannot send SMS from the 7100i. This issue is not limited to Boost SIM cards.

iDEN BB's don't support SMS - no matter what SIM you have in them.

Go to howards tutorial and download the service books. You can text under the mms and it gets to you just the same as sms.

Instead of telling everybody how they cant SMS text, how about telling them how much better MMS texting is or maybe just let the thread slide by and let someone help somebody.
