Angry How to start with an unlocked 7100v? - 06-30-2009, 04:43 PM

I just got an unlocked 7100v .
I am very confused being a new owner.
The 7100 Getting Started guide is useful but to get more details I downloaded the 7100v manual which is confusing.

When I goto Settings/About it says v4.1.0.375, should I download a later firmware version?
Which version Blackberry Desktop Software should I download? It goes to version 4.7 from www blackberry dot com site but the site is not clear which model Blackberries each software version supports.

Desktop Manager supports all models, so download the latest.

The 7100v is a 7100, just branded by Vodafone (the v).

4.1.0.375 sounds current - the 7100 is a VERY old model.

that is a pretty old device.

The latest software for it can be found here

And any version of the Desktop Manger will work, I would recommend 4.7 withOUT the Media Manager software.
