Default Security on 7100G - 12-23-2005, 11:57 AM

Hey all,
I have a quick question. Is there a preloaded setting or application that will allow me to set the security for the 7100g, so that if anyone tries to access files (such as pictures) they will encounter a password prompt? In laymen's terms, when you lock your 7100g, before you can unlock it you are prompted with a code. Is there a way that before anyone tries to access pictures, files, or change settings, they are also asked for the password? If there isn't any preloaded software, is there a third party app that does this?

Forgive me if I posted this in the wrong section.

I've done that, but if anyone tries to access files they are still able to. Is there a way where if someone goes to, let's say, "Pictures", they are prompted for a password before they can access them?

No. The password is only for getting out of the screen saver or upon startup. You can not password protect a specific application.

Thanks for your help. Merry Christmas. If I do find some security software that does this, I'll post the link.
