Default key sequence to reboot 7130e? - 02-28-2006, 04:06 PM

What is the key sequence to reboot a 7130e? I know on a 7520 it's <half moon> <right shift> < delete> but that doesn't work on the 7130e.

Thanks in advance....

The only working key sequence is to remove the battery cover and pop out the battery.

Don't think so. Every tech I spoke to says only pulling the battery or deleting an application will do a reboot.

The key sequence listed on RIM's site doesn't work with my 7130e. I'm pretty good at yanking out the battery. ;)

If you go into the manual programming and safe it, it will reboot the device

To do that:

##000000 hit send key

Save it and it will reboot the device

That was what I did. The tech said you should never pull the battery out to reboot.

That's really funny since popping the battery out is in the RIM BlackBerry User Manual.

The tech doesn't know what he's talking about. It clearly states in the manual to pull out the battery to reboot.

I think what the problem could be is that pulling the battery out could cause a lose of data depending on whats going on.

Does not work on my 7100i.
I made an address book entry, entered the ##000000 and saved it. When I recall and hit the green button it says your call cannot be completed as dialed ...

When I do that on my 7130e, I get "invalid password" and I haven't set a security password for that device...

I work pda tech support for a large wireless provider and i can tell you that you will not loose data from pulling out the battery, the only ways that you will loose data on a BB is by either doing a Wipe handheld, or doing the Incorrect password 10 times trick.

Or if you really fubar your device and get a JVM error and have to hard reset the sucker, using afformentioned methods

On my 7130e it comes up with the CDMA service Program Edit Screen - which looks interesting...
