Question 7100i - Can photos be assigned to contacts? - 03-14-2006, 11:43 PM

Before anyone tells me to do a SEARCH, I already did and couldn't find a definitive answer on this question:

On the 7100i, can personal photos be assigned to contacts (like with most "ordinary" cell phones) so that when a contact calls, you see the picture of who's calling you?

Thanks in advance.

Well, that's a definitive answer, all right...
No BBs can attach pictures to contacts...

Thanks for the quick reply. As a BB newbie, I'm pretty surprised that you can't assign pics to contacts on a $200+ newly released phone, something I was able to do on the cheap Sanyo I got for free from Sprint 2 years ago...

That doesn’t bother me not one bit. I’d rather not have a picture pop up on the display screen when someone calls.

Right now, I’m more concerned about the emails I’m not receiving.

That is because the BlackBerry is an email platform first, and a phone second. RIM recently announced that new models with more multimedia capabilities are currently being developed. No word yet on a timeframe.

Remember, please try searching first!

Need a screenshot? ... Like JavaLoader?
Try using BBscreen .....Use JL_Cmder!
or BBScreenShooter!

Check out Notifire Professional. Might do the trick for you. Don't know if it runs on this model.

Thanks for all the input guys. I really love the rest of the phone, including the Telenav which has worked very well so far! The photo ID thing is just a little pet peeve...if that's the only thing I have to complain about, I suppose it's a pretty darn good unit!

Hey MrKyoo, where did you get that background of the Lakers for you BB? I wonder if there's others available too.

This isn’t where I found the image but it’s a nice start. I’m sure a simple Google search will find a lot more for you.
