Default email question - 04-03-2006, 07:43 PM

Hi everyone,

I just got a blackberry 7100g today. I do not have a data plan and dont plan on getting one. As for email, is there any way I can just SYNC (across the USB cable) my email to my blackberry and then read it on there?

Thanks for all your help

Why did you get a BlackBerry then? Basically, the entire point of a BlackBerry is some sort of email usage. If you just want to read it on the go then print it out from your desktop or something. I think a normal cell phone would suit you better if you never plan on using the BB for its deisgned purpose. Just my $.02.

Wirelessly posted (7130e VZW: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry7130e/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

Yes, you should be able to do that, although it seems a bit pointless.

As for email, is there any way I can just SYNC (across the USB cable) my email to my blackberry and then read it on there? Are there any 3rd party applications out there which would let me do this? Can someone give me step by step instructions?

1. Pack up and return the second 7100g that you purchased.
2. Sell on eBay the first 7100g that you purchased.
3. Purchase a different phone.

No. The BlackBerry doesn't sync email and without a data plan you can't retrieve email, end of story no work around.
