Cool Newbie - 04-05-2006, 11:18 AM

I just got a Blackberry 7100i from a friend that didnt want it anymore. I am switching from a i830 to that. I want to know a couple of things.

1) I want to text message, like two-way express on my old phone, but I cant find out how to do it. Whats the different from a PIN message and a SMS message? I want to be able to put anyones cell phone number in and type a message.

2) Can I download new ring tones for this phone, Like music ringtones?

3) I cant find the browser icon on my menu? Do I have to have that in my plan or what can I do to get it?

4)and last, I have an email for work that is a webmail, can I check it from my blackberry?

Thanks alot for your help. I might have a couple of questions as I learn how to work it.

Shannon

you will need to add a black berry data plan to your account. which is 39.99 a month im most areas.

a PIN is a message sent between blackberry devices, while a SMS is from phone to phone. the 7100i on Nextel can not send SMS unfortionatley, but if you get the data plan, you will get email and you can email a persons phone usint [email address] (or something clos,e search, you will find alll of the extensions. if you cant, send me a private message and ill help you out)

as for webmail, it all depends. you will have to try it when you get the blackberry data plan.
