Default Multiple in-box" - 04-22-2006, 04:23 PM

Hello folks, long time lurker, first time poster.

I have a 7100t with 4.1 HK loaded. After loading 4.1 I now have three in-boxes for e-mail.
1. A "Message" box
2. my "tmo.blackberry" box
3. my "work e-mail addy" box.

I can "hide" the two extra inboxes, (even delete the work one), but is there a way to eliminate them or do I need to worry about them in the first place?
I deleted them all from the t mobile site, but I have to have the tmo.blackberry e-mail account there or I dont get my work e-mails. When I delete a message it deletes the message from both of the other accounts on the BB. My point is if I dont keep the number of messages small I'm just wasting space on my BB.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance for the Help

Blast- North Texas noob.

ps. if i get one e-mail, the same e-mail goes in all three in-boxes

Wirelessly posted (8700c: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

I would hide them until you are sure of your usage. See my tips doc for the 7100 at my tips site.

You are not wasting any space with the "extra" email folders all they are there for is to sort messages from the actual reciving email account. The main messages box will show every message recived while the others will filter out messages from other sources. If you don't like them, just hide them and don't worry.

When you scroll over the mail box you want to hide, simply press alt and then the scroll wheel. An option will appear to hide the mail box, just select it and press the scroll wheel again.

I have a similar question. I had my gmail set to POP3 then deleted that inbox and switched to a forward system using a vzw.blackberry.net account. I deleted the gmail pop3 box from the verizon site but it is still on my phone. I hid it and deleted the service book for the pop3 account, but is there any way to totally get rid of the box or do I just have to keep it hidden?
