Default Is anyone using a Sprint 7130e? - 06-01-2006, 01:55 PM

I haven't seen any first-hand reviews of this device anywhere. Where are the Sprint 7130e users?

Thanks in advance!

The announcement just came out yesterday. It's a brand new release. And if they're like Verizon, they won't carry them in stores for a while. Maybe it will be different in the major markets, but you still have to order the 7130e and have it shipped at Verizon stores in South Carolina. I'm sure reviews will be forthcoming.

In response to your question about where are the 7130e Users, well, as of today I am one, and believe me it's been an experience.

I say this primarily due to the fact that this is the first time my using a Black-
berry device, thus using the 7130e has been involved.

What questions do you have that I might be able to answer?

The 7130e's are available on Sprint.com Business Section under Wireless phones. If you're used to using a Blackberry unit the changes are more than suttle. I say this as the software for the 7130e's is updated considerably from the older units. You are really using the track wheel quite a bit to manuver around and the options have changed as well compared to where one would normally look using an older unit.

Our stores in Indiana just got them in our stores today....they look pretty awesome....I might switch my Demo 7520 Nextel to this just for the tethered internet w/ evdo speeds.... but I might wait till the 8702 comes out so I can keep my Nextel PTT...that and I wont have to worry bout the suretype(or whatever it is)

I am mulling going back to converged devices and purchasing one. It would cost me less and garner me more features such as the free tethering.

I am going to possibly return my A960 to Best Buy tomorrow, and go down the block to the Sprint store to pick up the BB. I hope that Sprint's BIS will play nicer with my OWA than my T-Mobile BB does.
