Exclamation 7130 help -- internet and pictures - 08-19-2006, 11:13 AM

I just got a 7130c, connected it to my computer, but can not find a way to upload .jpg pictures onto it with the desktop manager...is there a way to upload the pictures on my computer to my blackberry.

Also, the top of the screen says "data connection refused" and I can not find the internet globe symbol anywhere on my blackberry home screen. How can i fix that?

Thanks

Congrats!
first off, you cannot upload pics from the Desktop Manager (or any files for that matter except for themes). The best way to get it to your phone is to email the picture as an attachment to your phone, download, then save image, (providing you have a data plan & email address). But if it's saying "data connection refused" then that might have answered everything or it's just not activated yet.

If you are getting data connected refused it means your account does not have a BlackBerry Data Plan on it...

Check with your carrier; without a BlackBerry Data Plan all you have is voice and SMS.

Actually you can upload pictures via Desktop Manager with some third-party software. For example, Berry Pix v2.0 does upload of pics via Desktop Manager's Intellisync feature. If you just want to get a few pics onto your BlackBerry, you could use the free 7-day trial of Berry Pix v2.0 to load them to your BlackBerry and then use its "preview picture" feature to save the picture to your built-in BlackBerry photo app.

Of course, after 7-days is up, you won't be able to add any more pictures using Berry Pix or use the "preview picture" feature to save them to the built-in picture app...

As for the Data connection refused, you will need to contact your carrier about that one or visit one of your carrier's "pop-stands" etc to make sure your phone's account is configured for data.

I hope this helps!
