so, I just unlocked my 7100t after about a year of not using it and I am now using it on the Cingular network. It is extremely sluggish. As in, I'm typing an email and it takes up to 5-10 seconds to respond to the buttons I've pushed. Almost like a computer that needs more memory or needs to be defragmented. Is this because I updated the firmware? Anything I can do to fix it?

Wirelessly posted (Cingular 7130c: BlackBerry7130/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

If you just updated the firmware it could fix it self with a little time. If not, try a clean install. Wipe it with javaloader and then reinstall the handheld software.

What version firmware have you installed on it?

So, yesterday I spent about 4 hours and $25 trying to unlock what I thought as my TMobile locked 7100t. I finally gave up, stuck my Cingular sim card in, turned it on and went to bed. I wake up this morning and there are new SMSs and I can dial out. Great! Problem solved. Not so much.

Now, in addition to the fact that the phone is reacting unbelievably sluggishly, I have not had service since I left for work. Nowhere. Now I'm back home where I had service this morning...nope, no service.

Is this a sim card issue or what? I'm going on 24 phoneless hours and it is killing me. I am truly a crackberry addict.

Just searching around on the Berry and went into Advanced Options-->Sim Card and it tells me "No Valid Sim Card." However, it was valid this morning. Any clue? I guess I'll go get another sim card from Cingular tomorrow.
