Cool Must have applications for 7100i ? - 09-01-2006, 08:20 PM

Anyone know of any good "must have" applications for the typical BB 7100i user? I have Ramble IM, Blackberry Messenger, Spell Checker for BB, & Yahoo Messenger. Anyone got some other good ones?? Lemme know.

Thanks,
-Tyler

I don't know what all runs on the 7100i due to the oddball nature of Nextel's BIS, but I like Google Maps, Berry411, Opera Mini, and PicoNews which is an RSS Reader. Google Maps looks real good on the 7100's

Berry 411 is software that allows users to run searches for people in Yellow and White Pages, search for weather forecasts, Google maps, sports listings, movie listings, all that happy good stuff. you can get it at

Bogle’s Blog » Berry411 Mobile Search

or copy it OTA at http://thebogles.com/berry411/3.30/berry411.jad
Point your BB's browser at the link above and go from there.

BBWeather is pretty cool and free. Gives the current conditions as well as forcasts from weather.com. Google Maps can come in handy as well, like having an atlas crammed into your BB. It's free as well.

I have had similer problems with RAMBLE IM but seem to be working "okay" now like if someone Instant Messages you from the home screen and you choose not to view it right away and go back and view it later its really slow opening up. But other then that seems to be an alright program.

Opera Mini is a web browser it's alot better and faster then Blackberries web browser.
